HISTORY
Constructed in the mid 1840's to house the American Hemp Co. (a hemp to rope factory), this loft-style wedding venue is one of the first, grandest and oldest remaining factories in the United States that is open to the public.
Located next to Paterson's Great Falls, the canals would deliver a constant flow of water to wheels and turbines to power the textile machines on the factory floors. Although the textile machines are long gone, the Art Factory still contains the original timbers, brickwork, metal details, cobblestones and large factory windows throughout the space.
One $9 million renovation later… The Art Factory Wedding Venue was born.
VINTAGE INDUSTRIAL FEATURES
The Art Factory is known for its vintage, eclectic architecture and design featuring historic hardwood floors, exposed brick, rafters, and metal piping, and huge refurbished factory windows. There’s a new space to explore around every corner, plus the art and lounge furniture are all made on site.

There are also two main reception spaces: the International Space and the Hamilton Space. Both full of charm and ready for a huge party.
